<\/a><\/p>\nI anticipate and solve problems. <\/span><\/p>\n I lead shows and teams, in production and in development. <\/span>Original editorial, brand partnerships, and podcast strategy. Host management, series arc and planning, production calendars, budgeting and cost management, scripting and editing.<\/span><\/p>\n I’ve developed, written, and produced daily, weekly, and long-form shows, for broadcast and streaming. I love thinking about story structure and the puzzle of keeping people listening.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n the longer version<\/strong><\/p>\n I build and lead teams to tell riveting, informative, delightful stories.<\/p>\n I was the Executive Producer for Development and Partnerships at Pineapple Street Studios.<\/a> I created our development team, and the systems for assessing pitches. In my previous role as senior producer, I led the teams that made Will Be Wild<\/a>, Because of Anita<\/a>, My Fugitive<\/a>, Pod Save America’s Iowa series<\/a>, Stay Tuned with Preet<\/a>, and other projects. I co-EP’d and co-wrote the audio stories for The Book of Hov<\/a>, the interactive exhibit about the artist JAY-Z at the Brooklyn Public Library.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Outside of Pineapple, I produce Octavia’s Parables<\/a>, a chapter-by-chapter read-along of Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Talents and Parable of the Sower, hosted by adrienne maree brown and Toshi Reagon.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Before Pineapple, I was the senior producer at Note to Self<\/a>, at WNYC Studi<\/a>os<\/a>. And before that<\/em>, I was the reporter for WNYC’s all-star Data News team<\/a>. I made a series with Jad Abumrad about gay conversion therapy called UnErased<\/a>, a series<\/a> with Edible Magazine about food and technology, and helped launch Lemonada’s first series about the opioid crisis<\/a>. I was an Alicia Patterson Fellow, an editor at the Investigative Reporting Workshop<\/a>, and a reporter at the Center for Public Integrity.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n I started in radio at WBAI, producing a live three-hour morning show. I was co-director with Deepa Fernandes<\/a> of a nonprofit called People’s Production House, which trained low-wage workers and high-school students as radio reporters.\u00a0I speak fluent French and interview-capable Spanish. And I worked on special effects for Starship Troopers<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I’m currently working on a project about disaster preparedness, and how to nurture community in a time of crisis.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I anticipate and solve problems.
